Facebook Notes a Drop in Daily Active Users in Q4 2021

Aside from being excited about it’s new Threads platform, Meta still cares about the big platform in it’s bag – Facebook, as a new update brought more video editing tools, added HDR support and more.

Facebook revamped the Watch section for Video, bringing all the video types(including Reels) under this heading. This allows users to comment on reels from Instagram and even create them on Facebook. Keep your Facebook app updated to see the changes.

Upgrading Facebook Videos

As Meta is busy with Quest headsets and the Threads app, major platforms like Facebook and Instagram have lately been ignored. Well, the company is pushing an update to Facebook this week – which focuses on video improvements on the social media platform.

First, Facebook is renaming the current Facebook Watch tab as simply a Video tab and stuffs all other video types on the platform here. You can find long, short and Reels in this section and be able to scroll a “personalised feed” vertically.

Further, it’s bringing the Reels editing tools to the Facebook feed, letting users add audio, text and music to their videos right on Facebook. Well, a new HDR video support will let you upload quality videos from your phone, resulting in a rich or better quality.

Knitting both Facebook and Instagram together, Meta allows users on Facebook to write comments on Instagram Reels. All these features will appear on Facebook soon and possibly, significantly impact the company’s future.
