How To Fix Crackle Not Working on Samsung, LG, Sony or Any Smart TV

Crackle Not Working

Streaming your favorite movies and TV shows on a lazy Sunday afternoon from the comfort of your couch is a great way to relax. And when you can do it all for free, it’s even better. Crackle is a video streaming platform that offers a wide range of TV shows and an impressive collection of movies, all completely free of charge. However, there can be times when you encounter issues with the Crackle app not working on your smart TV. Whether you own a popular brand like Samsung, LG, Sony, or any other smart TV, we have some tips and tricks to help you resolve the issue and get back to enjoying your favorite content without interruptions.

Let’s dive into each of these fixes in detail.

Restart Your Smart TV

One of the simplest and most effective solutions to resolve the issue of Crackle not working on your smart TV is to restart the device. Restarting your smart TV helps eliminate any cache or temporary files that may be causing disruptions in your video streaming experience. To restart your smart TV, simply unplug it from the power source and wait for a minute or so before plugging it back in. After the restart, Crackle should work fine, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted streaming of your favorite shows and movies.

Restore Your Internet Connection

Since Crackle is an online streaming service, a stable internet connection is essential for seamless video playback. If you’re experiencing issues with Crackle not working on your smart TV, it’s worth troubleshooting your internet connection. Start by rebooting your Wi-Fi router connected to your smart TV. This simple step can often resolve connectivity issues and restore your ability to stream content on Crackle. If the problem persists, you may want to check your internet speed or contact your internet service provider for assistance.

Uninstall & Re-Download Crackle

Keeping your apps updated to their latest versions is always a good practice. If your Crackle app hasn’t been updated, it may be the reason behind its malfunctioning. If you’re facing issues with Crackle not working properly, it’s worth considering uninstalling and then re-downloading the app. This ensures that you have the latest version of the app installed on your smart TV, which should improve its performance. If you’re unable to update the app due to storage constraints, uninstalling and reinstalling Crackle can be a viable solution.

Eliminate Any Ad-Blockers

Crackle is an ad-supported video streaming service, which means it relies on displaying advertisements to provide free content. However, if you have ad-blockers installed on your smart TV, they may interfere with Crackle’s ability to display ads and cause the app to malfunction. To ensure Crackle works properly on your smart TV, check if any ad-blockers are installed and disable them. By allowing Crackle to display ads, you can enjoy uninterrupted streaming of your favorite shows and movies.

Conclusion

  1. Worst advice ever. Amounts to saying restart Windows to fix any problem. The fact is that Crackle is a terrible streaming service. I have a Sony smart tv with every streaming service imaginable on it and they all work perfectly except Crackle. I have to restart the movie 5 to 10 times to get through a 90-minute movie. Most of the time, I give up and watch something else. You mentioned it is free, so is Pluto and various others that work perfectly. Free is no excuse for being horrible.
