OnePlus 12 Leaks Show Improved Cameras Than its Predecessor

Fresh leaks of the OnePlus 12 reveals the handset sporting two 50 MP cameras and a 64MP telephoto lens, improving from the current OnePlus 11 standard.

Also, the upcoming handset is set to have a larger 5,000mAh battery with up to 150W fast charging support. Well, this could vary based on the available regions and can also be stripped down since these reports are still rumours.

OnePlus 12 Camera Leaks

Until 2021, OnePlus is considered one of the best premium alternatives to Samsung and Apple, as it comes with high-end hardware and a fluid OxygenOS without emptying our pocket much. But it’s downfall started last year when Oppo acquired the subsidiary and started tuning according to it’s standards.

One of the many things that OnePlus fans didn’t like in this takeover is the fusion of OS, where Oppo mixed it’s ColorOS elements with the OnePlus’ OxygenOS. This triggered the fans to ditch the brand for close alternatives, even though OnePlus equips the best hardware available.

Well, in a pursuit to regain it’s lost glory, the company is now banking on better cameras – as fresh leaks of the OnePlus 12 show the handset having a 50 MP + 50 MP + 64 MP lens. More specifically, the primary 50 MP lens is Sony’s IMX989 sensor, while the next 50 MP is an ultra-wide lens and the 64 MP telephoto lens is from OmniVision.

Further, the handset is reported to run on a third-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery with 150W fast charging. Though there are rumours that it could sport a barrage of more than 5,000mAh, OnePlus may settle with sub-5000mAh, if it decides to support 150W fast charging.

We are awaiting more details on this and we expect them to leak gradually until the phone comes live later this year. Till then, stay tuned to us.
