Apple Podcasts Creators Can Now See Detailed User Analytics

Apple Podcasts added a new dashboard for creators to check analytics – of user engagement on the platform.

This dashboard contains a lot of analytics to help them understand their listeners’ behaviour and try tuning accordingly. Also, Apple partnered with Linkfire for it’s podcasting tools and some for it’s Delegated Delivery system.

New Features on Apple Podcasts

Apple updated it’s Podcasts app to include a new analytics tab for creators – that’ll let them track their users’ engagement on various counts. This includes checking how many listeners started a free trial, the number of paid subscriptions, the percentage of listeners who converted from a free trial to a paid subscription and the estimated proceeds generated from their subscriptions.

This data can be viewed from different perspectives, like date ranges, countries and regions, and monthly versus annual paying subscribers. This aside, the company is also adding resources from five new partners – Audiomeans, Captivate, Podbean, Podspace and Transistor to it’s Delegated Delivery system.

With these new platforms, Apple expands it’s partners to nine, with Podbean support going live today. And lastly, Apple partnered with the marketing platform Linkfire for it’s podcasting tools that let creators measure real-time user engagement with the links and pages, including anonymized visits and click-through rates.

A registration page for this is live, with the Linkfire for Podcasts launching later this year. Though Apple Podcasts is leading this space with all such partnerships and resources, we can’t really say how fruitful these partnerships are for the company, yet.
